Kdenlive. Lets you capture your screen and edit the video in wider formats than Camtasia. but I’d not recommend it for screen capturing. Probabilly I’m wrong but I had a bad exerience . However, It’s the easiest video editor I’ve used in my life and very owerfull.

With CompizFusion you have a lot of zooming, pointing and screen drawing resorces.

And all of them are just free… D)
